This merchandise shop offers exclusive St. John family themed products created using historical media related to the St. John and de Port-St. John families. The St. John Genealogy and DNA project is a volunteer based social organization where members are committed to researching historical branches down to living descendants and using primary records and DNA evidence to make and prove conclusions. This project incurs regular costs such as those for webhosting, purchasing digital copies of primary records from around the globe and DNA testing descendants. A Big Y-700 test kit for one test subject costs $449.00 and we need multiple test kits to compare and make scientific conclusions. To help members afford DNA testing, and maintain operation of this project, proceeds from sales made here, will be used to meet those financial obligations. Not all descendants can provide useful DNA evidence because of their gender or placement in the family tree, but by purchasing products here, they can help us afford to buy a test kit for someone more eligible for DNA testing.
